HABITAT COMMITTEES

 Construction Committee: This committee is responsible for coordinating and carrying out all construction efforts on Habitat homes. It is responsible for safety, construction schedules and materials procurement.
 
Family Selection Committee: This committee is responsible for recruiting and selecting families for whom the homes will be built or rehabbed.
 
Family Support Committee: This committee is responsible for developing and implementing a program to provide a mentor to help families be successful homeowners. This committee also implements planning, budgeting, counseling, and homeowner/home repair educational programs. This committee serves as an on-going liaison between the board and families who have purchased houses that have been constructed or rehabilitated by Habitat for Humanity.
 
Finance Committee: This committee is responsible to the Board for all financial matters including: insurance, mortgage and escrow accounts, financial reporting, annual budgets and investments. This committee also monitors the homeowner's monthly mortgage payments.
 
Home Repair Ministry Committee: This committee is responsible for reviewing requests for home repairs for low-income individuals and families in our area. This committee determines which repairs can be performed by our organization and oversees the implementation and completion of all Home Repair projects.
 
Publicity Committee: This committee is responsible for publicizing the work of our organization, reaching the wider public through various media channels, and securing and equipping speakers for other organizations. This committee is also responsible for the maintenance of a mailing list of supporters and to prepare and distribute periodic newsletters/mailings.

Resource Development Committee: This committee is responsible to the Board for the development of resources to supplement the work of the organization. The committee will develop, with the help of board members, plans to secure financial support (including house sponsorships) from churches, congregations, individuals, foundations, and corporations. The committee is also responsible for developing and coordinating special events. The committee's key functions are to obtain monetary and material donations, as well as to recruit, assimilate and recognize volunteers.
 
Site Selection Committee: This committee is responsible for locating and selecting sites upon which the Habitat homes will be constructed or renovated.
