HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RECEIVES DONATION FROM MI WINDOWS AND DOORS MI Windows and Doors, Inc are pleased to once again sponsor the 9th Annual Charity Golf Outing. The window and door manufacturing company, headquartered in Gratz, PA. works with their nationwide network of customers, vendors and community friends to raise hope for Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area. Mike Ohlin, committee chair, stated that each year they are fortunate enough to exceed the donation from the prior year. In 2006 they presented Habitat with a check for $145,000.00. Sponsors of this event will attend the presentation dinner and golf outing on June 3 and 4, 2007 in Hershey, PA. “MI Windows and Doors’ relationship with Habitat for Habitat is a great source of pride for our organization. We value the work that Habitat for Humanity does and we are glad to be a part of it.” Said executive vice president, Matt DeSoto.
NEW HOMES FOR FAMILIESUnion Privilege is sponsoring a house for the Cobb Family at 41 North 16th Street. Central Labor Council and local trade unions are sponsoring a home to be built at 10 South 18th Street for the Moore Family. Artist Build and Lawrence L. and Julia A. Hoverter Charitable Foundation are sponsoring a home at 116 Balm Street for the Powell Family.
