Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area along with Schneider Electric volunteers, one of our sponsors, help in rehabbing home in Steelton.

Harrisburg, PA June 7, 2018 – The associate-led volunteers from Schneider Electric have been volunteering at a particular Steelton site throughout the year. The volunteers at Schneider Electric have taken time out of their busy schedules to come out to do their part in rehabbing the home for Ms. Christina Britton and her family.

Schneider Electric volunteers have assisted us with installing studs, hanging drywall, sanding, painting, caulking and much more.  Through Schneider Electric’s sponsorship, we have been able to purchase new windows, install new roof(s), purchase flooring, drywall, insulation, replace doors, weatherize, replace front and side porches, install new electrical wiring and new plumbing system, along with the installation of new HVAC and water heating equipment.

Although Schneider Electric volunteers haven’t been able to make it out on the rehab site as much as they would have liked too, due to their busy schedules at work, we were still all too happy when they did.

This project, made possible through funding from Schneider Electric, is part of an ongoing partnership between Schneider Electric and Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area.
